Cookie policy
What this website stores on your device, why, and how to control it.
On this page
1. What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Local storage is a similar browser facility, except that the stored value stays on your device and is not automatically transmitted to any server.
2. What this website uses
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sayneel-theme |
Local storage (not a cookie) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark appearance, so the site does not reset every visit. | Until you clear your browser storage |
This is strictly necessary for the preference feature to work and is not used to identify you, track you, or build a profile. The value never leaves your device.
3. What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies;
- No social media tracking pixels;
- No cross-site tracking of any kind;
- No fingerprinting;
- No sale or sharing of browsing data with data brokers.
Because we set no non-essential cookies, this website does not display a cookie consent banner. If that changes, a compliant consent mechanism will be added before the change goes live.
4. Third-party requests
This site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. Doing so makes a request to Google's servers, which necessarily reveals your IP address and browser information to Google as part of delivering the font file. Google states that it does not use these requests to create profiles for advertising. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request.
If you would prefer no third-party requests at all, the font can be
self-hosted. Instructions are in the README.md file
supplied with this website.
Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, including IP address and requested page, for security and reliability purposes. These are retained for a short period and are not used for marketing.
5. How to control storage
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Clearing storage for this site will only reset your theme preference to the system default. No other functionality depends on it.
6. If we add analytics later
Should we introduce website analytics in future, we will:
- Prefer a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics tool wherever one meets the need;
- Present a clear consent choice before setting any non-essential cookie, with refusing as easy as accepting;
- Update this page, including the table in section 2, before the change takes effect.
7. Cookies in our products
Applications published by SayNeel, including BalSaathi, use their own storage mechanisms for authentication, session management and offline data. These are described in the privacy notice presented inside each product and are not covered by this website policy.
8. Changes to this policy
Any change to what this website stores will be reflected here, with an updated revision date.
